Satisfaction of winning

*** WARNING LONG POST AHEAD!***

So for the first time since sec 2 i finally feel proud of myself.

Overall tied at 2-2, with me and haikeong playing the last doubles as the decider of the 3rd/4th placing match.

I once thought my table tennis career was over during sec 3/4. I mean... if the coach tells you that my time would be better used at studying than training, it shows how much u're needed.

For the whole of sec 3/4, training was minimal, my chances of actually playing in the competition was near impossible except for those easy matches. (Thanks to you china men eh) (umm sarcasm intended here)

As time went by my interest in table tennis diminished... And when my horrendous O lvl prelim result of 18 took me to Cjc i was ready to slack my way there.. till my bunch of pingpong buds told me to appeal to NJ to form a team there.

So after 2 years of slack trainings, finally in Njc i got some proper training. And it was FUN. Yeah i used to hate the coach for his impossibly high standards and outrageous punishments, but looking back at it i have to admit that without those trainings i will probably be a lousy 3rd rate (possibly 5th rate heh) player and the team wouldn't have bonded so well.

But the first year of JC finals i lost. BADLY. didn't even play to 25% of my usual standard. Second year finals i lost in the finals YET again. yeah i did play my best, but i still lost the match which was arguably the decider. Its useless if i can win every single match i play en route to the finals but lose at the most important match of all.

And during my days in the Army playing for SAFSA, I lost yet again in the finals - i was playing the decider. I felt like i single handedly lost it for the whole team. The team didn't deserve it with the immense effort that we put in.

Ok enough yada yada of my lame emotional history. Doesn't sound like me eh.

So today at the Inter-Constituency competition, playing for the 2nd runners up spot was Nee Soon South and Ponggol. With the game tied at 2-2, me and haikeong entered the playing field.

Honestly i was NERVOUS. I was like, oh damn another decider ****it why do i always get into shitty situations. So the game started and we lost the first game 3-11. I almost wanted to bury my head into the concrete floor (i don't know how but that was what i really wanted to do rofl)

Coach tried to calm me down and blah blah blah we came back with vengeance taking the next 3 games down 4-11, 8-11, 8-11. TAKE THAT YOU LOSERS WHERE WAS THE SMUG LOOK ON YOUR FACE AFTER THE FIRST GAME BUAHAHA. Ok take that back i have the utmost respect for those guys hehe. (hey i mean it!) (i mean the respect not the taunting lol)

Yeah. Finally won a game that i felt i played well. And an important game at that. Dedicated to Bobby and Sylvia who couldn't be there to share the victory with us.

Oh actually the main and the most important point of this post is..... YAY MONEY MONEY HERE I COME BUAHAHA. (dont bother asking me how much cuz i don't bloody know yet).

Waiting impatiently for it! :D
